The Greatest Band you don’t know about … YET!
There’s a lot about chance meetings with The Familiar.
How can a duo ever even get together when one is in New York and the other in Tromsø?
Well, we’ll let them explain that …
What we will tell you though, is that Sl!m heard them while reviewing demos at Universal Music about 10 years ago and was smitten.
Imagine our massive surprise when a chance press release for their debut Album “Shelter” hit an old (but still monitored) email address at a very early stage of our label …
And so the long discussions began …
The Familiar vibrate at their own beat. They are very much their own band and we think a perfect for #remarQabl, where understanding and flexibility of an Artist is waaaaay more important than, let’s say, “hitting KPIs”.
We’ve both been doing a LOT of work, out of the public eye, so that 2023 can see their amazing catalogue presented to new audiences.
This will include new versions by the band, new remixes from “Artists from the Margins” that we LOVE to find and promote, and also BRAND NEW material that we suspect will be their best yet!
